Quinn Motors of Ellsworth completed the installation of a Level 3, EV fast charger at their dealership location in Ellsworth. The Level 3 EV charger installation was a collaborative infrastructure project undertaken with partners Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) and Xcel Energy.

To promote and celebrate the EV fast charger installation, Quinn Motors is holding a community event called Charging Forward with Electric Vehicles: The EVolving World of⚡️EV’s on Monday, October 16 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at their dealership on Main Street in Ellsworth. The event, in partnership with PPCS and Xcel Energy, will be a fun and informative gathering to provide valuable community insights on the continuing developments within the EV industry, including public charging developments, training, residential charging opportunities, new EV vehicle launches, and even available rebate offerings.  

Charles Kummer, Quinn Motors President states, “Quinn Motors of Ellsworth is proud to be making necessary EV infrastructure advancements, such as our new Level 3 EV fast charger, to service our dealership customers and broader public consumers, too. As the first EV fast charger of its kind in Ellsworth and Pierce County, Wisconsin, we hope to bring awareness to the community benefits that Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services and Xcel Energy our providing to businesses and consumers in our region.” 

Event programming will begin at 11:30 a.m. with EV industry leaders, including David Chavie, PPCS Energy Innovation and Operational Technology Manager, . David shares, “Pierce Pepin Cooperative is thrilled to support the installation of a Level 3, EV fast charger at Quinn Motors in Ellsworth. This initiative aligns with our commitment to promoting rapid and convenient charging in our region. We believe that accessible EV charging infrastructure is a vital step towards a cleaner and greener future, and we’re proud to have collaborated with Quinn Motors and Xcel Energy to be part of this positive change in our community”.

In addition, Tim Bartels, Xcel Energy Project Manager, Commercial Electric Vehicles will also be on hand to share valuable insights.  Tim believes “this is a very exciting project that showcases how utilities can work together to support customers through industry-leading programs and collaborate through partnerships to drive the electric vehicle industry.
