Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services Provides Hurricane Helene Relief
Ellsworth, WI –Pierce Pepin Cares, the charitable foundation of Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services, is providing financial support to victims of Hurricane Helene. The Pierce Pepin Cares board of directors met on October 5 and approved sending $2,500 to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts. The $2,500 comes from the cooperative’s Federated Youth Foundation (FYF), funded through abandoned capital credits.  Read more...

PPCS celebrates Clean Energy Week with visit from Governor Evers
Ellsworth, WI –As part of National Clean Energy Week, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers stopped in Hager City on Monday, September 23, to visit Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services' (PPCS) new solar array, Trenton Solar at Truttmann Field. The 2-megawatt array can produce enough electricity to power 525 homes. Using 12 acres of land, the array includes more than 4,000 bifacial panels, each 550 watts, that operate with an axis tracking system to follow the sun and maximize generation.  Read more...

Ellsworth, WI –Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) celebrated a significant milestone in renewable energy on Thursday, September 19, with the dedication of the Trenton Solar at Truttmann Field solar array. Industry Veteran Joins Pierce Pepin Cooperatives Services as CFO
Ellsworth, WI –Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) announces Becky Bradburn as its next Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Bradburn is an industry veteran with a wealth of knowledge and experience working in the electric cooperative industry.  Bradburn joined PPCS after recently working at Bandera Electric Cooperative just outside San Antonio, Texas, where she held a similar role. Before Bandera, Bradburn was General Manager at Franklin Rural Electric Cooperative from 2016 to 2020 in Hampton, Iowa, and Executive Vice President and General Manager at Prairie Energy Cooperative in Clarion, Iowa, from 2014 to 2017. Pierce Pepin Cares Awards Grants to Local Non-Profits
Ellsworth, WI –First quarter grants were recently awarded by Pierce Pepin Cares, the charitable foundation of Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS), to four local non-profits. The Pierce Pepin Cares board approved a total of $3,800 in grants to the Ellsworth High School, Basics for Local Kids, the Assistance and Resource Center (ARC), and the Salvation Army.  Pierce Pepin Cares is funded by PPCS members who generously round up their monthly energy bills to the nearest dollar through Operation Round Up®, as well as direct donations.   Read more ...

Madison, WI –On January 10, Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) Communications Coordinator Liz Gunderson traveled to Madison to testify before the Assembly Committee on Children and Families in support of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program. Assembly Bill 741 requires the Department of Children and Families to establish a grant program to reimburse nonprofit organizations for 50% of the cost of providing books (up to $10,000 total) to young children in partnership with "a national reading program." Read more ...
