Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) will host its 86th Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 30, at the Ellsworth High School Cafetorium. In addition to director elections, voting on a bylaw amendment, and prize drawings, the meeting will also feature nationally recognized speaker Bill LeBlanc of LeBlanc Energy Innovation, and the Wisconsin Veterans’ Museum traveling exhibit “Fur, Feathers, and Fidelity: Military Mascots”. The exhibit celebrates the role animals have played as a source of pride and morale for troops dating back to the Civil War.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, LeBlanc’s presentation will focus on the shifting utility landscape with technology, renewables, and consumer behavior. He will also share information about the state of electric vehicle (EV) adoption. His resume includes stints with Apple and Disney, and time spent as a stand-up comedian. He is also known for his man-on-the-street videos about energy called “PowerWalking”.
“We are looking forward to our 86th annual meeting,” said Nate Boettcher, PPCS president and CEO. “This year’s program promises to be as entertaining as it is informational. We look forward to engaging with our members at the meeting.”
Doors open for the meeting at 5:00 PM, with LeBlanc's presentation beginning at 5:30 PM. A picnic supper will also be provided for members, along with prize drawings at the end of the meeting. Following the annual meeting, the “Fur, Feathers, and Fidelity: Military Mascots” exhibit will be available to the public for viewing at the Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services Office from March 31 through April 13 during normal business hours.
