Pierce Pepin marks Arbor Day with tree donations to area students

To celebrate Arbor Day, Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services delivered more than 960 evergreen tree seedlings to 4th grade students within the Durand, Ellsworth, Elmwood, Pepin, Plum City, Prescott, River Falls and Spring Valley school districts throughout the week. Each student, through a partnership with Fourth Grade Foresters USA, received an individually packaged seedling with instructions and safety tips for planting and caring for their tree.

Seeing double? Due to an error with our publisher, our members received two copies of the Wisconsin Energy Cooperative News this month. Underground Cabinet Inspections Begin

As part of our commitment to safe and reliable electricity, PPCS has underground cabinets inspected, cleaned out and tested annually.  PPCS has contracted with MTJ Electric to perform our annual inspection of our underground cabinets. This work began on Monday, April 17, and is being done in the townships of Ellsworth, Hartland and Trimbelle, along with parts of Trenton and Diamond Bluff.  If you have questions about this work, please contact our operations department at 715-273-4355 or 800-924-2133.

PPCS Hosts 80th Annual Meeting

80th Annual Meeting Highlights

Ellsworth, Wis. – More than 290 members and guests attended Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services’ 80th annual meeting on March 25, 2017, at the Ellsworth High School. Roger Wiff, Chairman of the Board, presided over the meeting.  The theme Member Driven, Community Focused, was reflected throughout the meeting in the director candidates’ speeches, reports and presentations.

PPCS Distributes Capital Credit Refunds

In the next several days, Pierce Pepin Cooperative will be distributing $745,521 in capital credit refunds to members who purchased electricity from PPCS in 1994 and 1995.  You’ll get a refund if you were a member of PPCS during those years.  Members receiving $50 or less will see the refund as a credit on this month’s energy statement.  All others will receive a check.  GETTING MONEY BACK – THAT’S THE POWER OF COOPERATIVE MEMBERSHIP!  Learn more about capital credits:

PPCS hosts Family Fun Night!

Whirlpool Recalls Microwave Oven Hood Combination Units

Whirlpool Corporation has agreed to recall microwave oven hood combination units that may pose a fire risk.  If you purchased a Whirlpool microwave oven hood combination unit from Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services, go to or call 800-990-6254 to determine if your unit is covered by the recall.  Whirlpool will be working directly with consumers regarding this recall.

PPCS Seeks Journeyman

Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services located in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, seeks applicants for a Journeyman Lineman.  Pierce Pepin has more than 7,000 electric accounts and is located 40 minutes from the Twin Cities metro area.  This position will perform assigned work in construction, maintenance and repair on distribution system.  Requires work in inclement weather, overtime and on-call time.  The ideal candidate will have experience in hot line preventive maintenance work with rubber gloves and hot line tools, as well as knowledge of all line materials, assemblies, equipment
